Tech4Communities is a local initiative developed by the Digital Poverty Alliance to address digital inequality where it is most entrenched.

There's still time to donate! The donation part of the Tech4Communities scheme runs until the end of February.

If you have a working laptop, tablet or phone that you no longer use, bring it to us at Whickham Library. Every item will have any data on it securely wiped, refurbished, and given to a local resident who is currently unable to get online. This includes people who need to apply for jobs, support their children’s learning, book health appointments, or stay in touch with loved ones. Drop-off is simple - bring your kit to Whickham Library and we'll sort it for you.

The first consignment of refurbished items will soon be available for distribution. We'll have more information about how to apply for these very soon.
